As such, they are responsible for providing guidance and support to the team of Swim Instructors, and fostering an environment aimed at facilitating their growth.
The Coordinator is tasked with upholding the Hydra Aquatics standard of excellence in both instruction and customer service.
As an administrator, the Coordinator has the flexibility to work from home to ensure the smooth operation, and continued growth and development of the Hydra Aquatics Lessons Program.
This role requires both independent drive, and strong teamwork capabilities as both Coordinators will be expected to work together to problem solve.
About us Hydra was born during the pandemic as a not-for-profit competitive USA sanctioned swim team in central Ohio.
Our goal is to empower young people to be champions in and out of the water.
What started as a swim team soon grew to include a swim lessons program designed to develop the hard-working mentality and skills needed to succeed in Hydra's swim team, and in life outside the pool.

Is a Leader and role-model for Hydra Aquatics staff, with a duty to ensure the quality and integrity of the Hydra Aquatics Brand; therefore the Coordinator:
Operates with an attitude of respect to self, others and the environment around them; Communicates openly, honestly and free of negativity (harassment, intolerance, gossip, etc.
); Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, and attends to reasonable requests; Ensures quality of experience by taking ownership of the day-to-day and behind the scenes operations of the Swim Lessons and Privates Lessons programs, with support and guidance from the General Manager; Works to ensure the long-term growth and success of both the Swim Lesson and Private Lessons programs, with support and guidance from the General Manager.
Administration The Coordinator:
Supports and prepares Swim Instructors for success at the work-place; this includes:
Facilitating strong, proactive communication between staff members, and between Swim Instructors and families; The provision/development of tools and organizational models to assist Swim Instructors with their duties (GoMotion, trackers, scheduling, certificate templates, etc.
) Fosters an environment where families feel connected and engaged to the education of their pupil through strong communications between families, the Lessons Coordinator, Instructors and pupils; Helps to manage the scheduling of the Swim Instructors by double-checking their timecards, and helping in finding replacements in the event a scheduled shift cannot be attended; Ensures all staff is trained, plans and runs all Swim Instructor trainings; Reports disciplinary, patron-related and safety issues immediately to the General Manager and records the event(s) with the proper documentation (Incident Report, Google Docs, etc.
).
Carries out or delegates reasonable requests made by any superior employed by Hydra Aquatics in a timely manner and with due attention to detail and quality; Takes a leadership role in the event of any illness, injury, accident, or activation of the EAP (Emergency Action Plan) while on the premises; and Understands and enforces the Jefferson Country Club/Hydra Aquatics Rules and fairly and politely.
Program Development The Coordinator:
Lays a strong and organized foundation on which to build and grow the Hydra Aquatics Swim Program as both a community resource and as a revenue stream; and Works closely with the General Manager to improve, develop and scale the Hydra Aquatics Lesson Program for future success.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
